Admission Procedure

(a) All admissions will be made according to the norms laid down by the respective departments and according to the number of seats available.

(b) All students who qualify for admission are supposed to be accompanied by their Parent/Guardian on the day of the admission. Personal presence of the candidate is necessary at the time of admission.In exceptional cases, permission maybe obtained from the Principal in writing, stating reasons and authorising somebody to secure admission on her behalf.

No student can pursue simultaneously two degree courses at the same University / different University or recognised Institution. In cases, where the University permits such a study, prior approval of the Principal is necessary. It is to be noted that admission will be automatically cancelled if the student is found pursuing a second course of study illegally.


» Provisional Certificate from Institution last attended.

» Date of Birth Certificate (Certificate of Class X).

» Mark-sheet of the last examination passed.

» Two copies of passport size photograph signed by the student at the back.

» Those who have studied English upto Class VIII only, will have to give a certificate to this effect.

» Migration certificate or Transfer certificate is required from outstation students.

» Students who have passed their 12th class examination from Boards other than CBSE must get their certificates signed by the School Principal along with the School seal.

» Those who have passed an examination other than the one recognised by the University of Delhi must attach an eligibility certificate obtainable from the University of Delhi.

» The University has decided to accept self-attested copies of documents provided by students. If any false attestation/falsified records are detected, the student will be debarred from attending any course in the University or Colleges for the next five years.

Admission shall be granted on provisional basis, subject to verification of certificates from concerned authorities. If the candidate is unable to submit requisite documents by the required date, her admission will automatically stand cancelled.


Qualifying Examinations

Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University will be.
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Candidates seeking admission to the courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses.

Senior School Certificate of various Boards recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / Central Board of Secondary Education will be considered as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate of Central Board for purposes of eligibility to various undergraduate courses.

Candidates securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned are also eligible for admission to the relevant Honours Course. Candidates who have passed the intermediate examination of an Indian University / Board with at least 40% marks in the aggregate and also one of the qualifying examinations.
B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths 50% marks in Mathematics and an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Merit will be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in onelanguage, mathematics and two best elective subjects.

Note: For admission to an undergraduate course : where a particular subject or a group of subjects is required for admission, the candidate must have passed in the subject/each of the subjects concerend.


» B.A./B.Sc./B.Com degree

» Admission to the post-graduate courses will be regulated through central registration by the University as in previous years. The College will admit only those having provisional admission slips issued by the respective faculties.
