On 12th September 2019, Janki Devi Memorial College, University of Delhi participated in the 25th Delhi Book Fair and delighted the fair by presenting its outstanding performances before the crowd.
The programme began with a play presented by Bardolators-The Shakespeare Society of Janki Devi Memorial College, "Piya Behrupiya" which was a compilation of several Shakespeare's written plays, such as 'Much ado about nothing', 'The Taming of the shrew', etc. Followed by, a short movie which described the whole college campus and the reason behind the foundation of the college. The Film was the creation of Lumière- the film & photography society of the college.
The crowd proclaimed with thrill when Anubhuti-The Street Play Society of the college performed their self-scripted play 'Mission Swachh Bharat'. The play talked about important issues such as waste segregation and the health problems caused due to improper waste management. Nupur-The Classical Dance society of the college had set the stage with charm by presenting the performances of its soulful dancers- Anjana Natrajan, Ann Afreen, Kanishka and Anisha.
The group dance performance by Nupur, further enlightened the stage with their gracious performance. The program came to an end with a series of performances by Euphonie-The Western Music Society of the college. Their soothing voice melted the hearts of many.


Teachers' day 2019

Janki Devi memorial College, University of Delhi celebrated teachers day with great gusto and gaiety on 5th September 2019 in the college auditorium.

The ceremony commenced with the arrival of our principal Dr.Swati Pal .

For a student, a teacher is the one who guides , protects and motivates . Keeping that in mind , Indian music society SARANG presented an excerpt from Kabir's sayings (dohe) . To entertain the teachers, classical dance society of JDMC NUPUR delivered a graceful classical performance .EUPHONIE , Western music society of JDMC sang a heartfelt song 'Stand by me' appealing teachers to always support us .A grand performance by NRITYA - the western dance society of JDMC was a delight to watch .

The program came to an end with the cake cutting ceremony. As a token of love, handmade gifts were presented to the teachers by the students' union of the college.

It was a great function in the honour of our teachers who are well deserved and hold the highest position in our society .
