Lumiere- Film and Photography Society

Lumière - The Film and Photography Society of JDMC takes its name from the French word for light and as an acknowledgement to the innovative spirit of Lumière Brothers, the first filmmakers in history.
As amateur filmmakers and photographers, the members of Lumière share, assess, criticize and learn from each other's work.

The Society held a successful photography seminar on composition of a photo-essay and another on film-making. The members exhibited photos during photo exhibitions at Symphony 2016 & 17 and at the freshers' in 2016. The society has also conducted photowalks, at places like Old Delhi, Humayun Tomb, MajnuKaTila, SurajKund Festival, etc. to encourage students to use images and pictures to expand their perspective and form of expression. The society also made the official college calendar.
