National Cadet Corps (NCC)

National Cadet Corps (5DGBN), Janki Devi Memorial College inaugurated its three-day, Inter-Directorate 7th Annual (National) NCC Festival, Veerangna 2021 virtually on 3rd March 2021. Despite the odds for the last year, the college went ahead to host its annual NCC celebrations and competitions primarily through a blended model. Teams came across all through the country from Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and many more.

The inauguration was attended by the honourable chief guest Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Bipin Bakshi, AVSM,VSM retd. who is currently the Deputy Director-General, IDSA. The principal of JDMC, Prof Swati Pal wholeheartedly welcomed the distinguished dignitaries and all the participants. She reiterated the theme of this year’s college celebrations “Candle in the Wind” and reminded how the NCC cadets are the future of this nation. Vice Principal Dr Sandhya Garg extended her regards as well. Caretaker Debahuti Brahmachari applauded the josh of the NCC cadets and their relentless efforts throughout the year showing themselves as true Veeranganas.

Day one event, Squad Drill Competition was attended by teams from all across the country, whereby online demonstration of the teams filled the environment with josh.

The day ended by declaration of the results by the jury, Deshbandhu College (Delhi Directorate) bagged the first position, Shivaji College (Delhi Directorate) in Senior Division Category. Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (Army Wing) (Delhi Directorate ) bagged the first prize in the Senior Wing category.

4th March 2021- Day two event, began with the Guard Competition that was attended by teams from all across the country in the virtual mode. Delhi Directorate colleges bagged all four positions. The second event for the day was full of music, colour, and beats with the solo cultural dance competition. The special guest for the event was Shri Sita Ram (founder of Veerta Foundation). He motivated the cadets to dedicate themselves to NCC. Entries came from all across the state, but the winning prize was taken by St. Peter’s College (Kerala Directorate) who performed Bharatnatyam.

5th March 2021- Day 3 saw the best cadets competing for the position in the college following all the COVID-19 precautions. The closing ceremony and prize distribution took place whereby guests from 5 Delhi Girls Battalion, Subedar Major Narendra Singh, GCI, Mamta Malik, and Principal Prof Swati Pal (JDMC), and CTO Debahuti Brahmachari awarded Aurobindo College and Bharati college as the Best Cadet 2021.

Under the guidance of Prof. Swati Pal (Principal, JDMC) and Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari (CTO, NCC) Janki Devi Memorial College, University of Delhi, National Cadet Corps-5DGBN organised a virtual Mental Health Session under the Aegis of IQAC on the theme "The Magic of Positive Thinking". It was held on 6th Oct, 2021 keeping in view the mental health of different sections of the society during the pandemic time. Cdr. Jagmohan Bhogal (Retd.), the speaker for the day, is an Emotional Intelligence Trainer and has served in the Indian Navy for 22 years.

The session started off with the speaker asking us about habit formation. Proceeding with the event various activities were held, for example, to depict the power of concentrated thoughts on our body. The session encompassed topics such as cycles of positive and negative thoughts, nexus between thoughts and feelings, significance of positive thoughts, and how to shift your focus from negative to the positive frontiers of life.

The session was indeed enriching and engaging. JDMCNCC aspires to organize more such events.



EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT (EBSB- VIII) ONLINE CAMP

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB – VIII) Camp was organized by National Cadet Corps of Group Mumbai 'A' by Maharashtra Directorate with Delhi Directorate from 19th July, 2021 to 24th July, 2021 (Online), whereby CPL Amruta Rao Akula of JANKI DEVI MEMORIAL COLLEGE, NCC 5DGBN successfully completed the camp. Sum of more than 300 NCC cadets from both the directorate were part of the camp.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat ( EBSB - IX ) Sapath Camp was organized by 7 DBN NCC Group 'B' Delhi Directorate with Maharashtra Directorate from 23rd August, 2021 to 28th August, 2021(ONLINE), whereby JUO PREETI PATHAK DL (178) and SGT MONIKA TANWAR DL (168) successfully completed the online camp. Sum of more than 500 NCC Cadets from both the directorate were part of the camp.

With the full support and dedication of the principal Prof.Swati Pal and CTO Dr Debahuti Brahmachari the National Cadet Corps 5DGBN JANKI DEVI MEMORIAL COLLEGE ( University of Delhi ) participated in different events among those events JUO Preeti Pathak DL(178) participated in event named "AAO DEKHO APNA DESH" in which a glimpse of DELHI MUSEUM was shown through a video made by her.

And SGT. MONIKA TANWAR DL(168) participated in POSTER MAKING and SINGING COMPETITION.



International Plastic Bag Free Day

Janki Devi Memorial College, NCC- 5DGBN organised a creative campaign under the guidance of Principal, Professor Dr. Swati Pal and CTO Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari on ”International Plastic Bag Free Day’” (3rd July) with the participation of more than 70 NCC cadets and a paper/cloth bag making activity from 1st – 3rd July, 2021.

The activity included:

  • Making of paper bags and/or cloth bags,
  • Distribution of those bags in the neighbourhood shops, medical stores, local market etc, (with proper precautionary measures related to covid-19),
  • Making of awareness videos, posters,

The campaign indeed served it’s purpose to make people realise their duty towards mother nature.

Under the guidance of Professor Swati Pal (Principal JDMC) and CTO Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari (Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science), Janki Devi Memorial College, National Cadet Corps (5DGBN), organized its Rank Panel Ceremony 2021-2022 on 17th August, 2021.

The special guests for the day were SM JOGINDER KUMAR SIR, who is a junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army, he was awarded the highest Indian military honour decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, for his action during the Kargil War. Aged 19 when he received the decoration, he is the youngest person to be awarded the medal., GCI MAMTA MALIK and PI STAFF ROCKY from 5Delhi Girls Batallion.

JDMC NCC also awarded the best cadets of year 2020-2021. The event then followed by Rank ceremony of all the Cadets which included:

ENVIRONMENT DAY – 5th JUNE 2021

Save now, earn later, be aware now for a Better future

JDMC National Cadet Corps -5DGBN celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June 2021 under the direction of Principal, Prof. Swati Pal and CTO Debahuti Brahmachari (Assistant professor- Department of Political Science). Cadets from 1st and 2nd year actively participated in this event by sending their videos , posters, poems many more. More than 70 cadets participated in this event and other than this, cadets also participated in various online events (conducted by ministry of ATUSH GOI) such as Quiz, Jingles and many more which were related to Environment and its conservation. Various Social media pages of JDMC NCC were used to spread these awareness messages.

On 7th September, 2021, with the unconditional support of Prof Swati Pal (Principal) and Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari (CTO NCC), cadets of Janki Devi Memorial College (University of Delhi), National Cadet Corps-5DGBN participated the event- Role of Indian Army in 75 years of Independence on the occasion of 6 Years of VEERTA organization, which was organised by VEERTA Organization in collaboration with Laxmibai college (University of Delhi).

8 cadets involved in Guard of Honour, 3 cadets as Volunteers and 6 Cadets did dance performance from our college.

The event started with the guard of honour of the chief guests performed by different colleges. The chief guests were M.S. Bitta (Chairman, the All India Anti- Terrorist Front), MAJ. GEN. PK Sehgal (Defence Expert), MAJ. GEN. Yash Mor (CEO Save the Himalayan Front) and CAPT. Dharamveer Singh (Army Veteran, Ted ex Speaker).

Cadets from various other colleges also attended the event.

The event was then followed by an enthusiastic panel discussion with all the speakers. Then there were some astonishing and amazing dance performances. Senior Division from Satyawati College did a joshful band performance.

The event then ended with the prize ceremony of some cadets who brilliantly worked during the pandemic period and the cadets who won in various online Competitions.

Cadet- Aditi Mishra from our college received Veerta Puraskar for writing a brilliant poem. The Guard and Cultural team of JDMC were given medals for their participation by the respective chief guests.

The event was telecasted on DD News Channel. It was indeed an amazing programme.

Kargil Vijay Diwas – 26th July 2021

Under the guidance of Principal Professor Swati Pal and CTO Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari (Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science), Janki Devi Memorial College, National Cadet Corps (5DGBN), organized a virtual session to commemorate Kargil Vijay Divas (26th July 2021). The special guest for the session was Lieutenant Commander (retd.) Bijay Nair , who was a part of Operation Talwar from the side of the Indian Navy (during the Kargil War of 1999). He is Operation Vijay Star and a Vijay medal Awardee. He guided the cadets through his life struggles and experiences of the Kargil war. More than 100 cadets joined all across from Delhi Directorate.

JDMC NCC also organized an Inter-college poster making competition on 24th July ’21 on the theme- गाथा बलिदान की|. Around 250- 260 cadets participated in this competition with full enthusiasm. Winners were declared at the session, whereby Lakshmibai College bagged the first position. Cadets of JDMC NCC also performed patriotic songs and dance as attribute to the great martyrs. An environment of josh filled this virtual celebration amongst the NCC cadets.

 


INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (21st JUNE 2021)

Under the guidance of Principal, Prof. Swati Pal and CTO Debahuti Brahmachari (Asst Prof- Department of Political Science), JDMC National Cadet Corps (5DGBN) successfully celebrated the International Yoga Day 2021 with the message of peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the times of pandemic. The celebration began through the Yoga week from 12th June to 21st June 2021, whereby more than 80 cadets participated in various online events (conducted by Ministry of Auyush GOI) such as Quiz, Jingles, sensitization videos etc on the relevance of Yog in everyday life. Social media pages were used for spreading awareness with more than 70 posts etc being shared on JDMC NCC pages.

An online Yoga session was coordinated by CTO Debahuti Brahmachari on 21st June 2021 in which more than 100 cadets participated. Participants did different types of Yoga postures like Bhujangasana, Vriksha asana, Utkatasana, Gomukhasana, Paschimottanasana, Virabhrasana and many more. The relevance of these postures was also outlined in these sessions. Overall the celebrations concluded by emphasizing the need for Yoga for today’s youth.

     


Fill your cup: Self care in Pandemic

JDMC NCC organized a mental health awareness session on the topic - Fill your cup - Self Care in a Pandemic, under the aegis of IQAC community outreach program. It was held on 28th May, 2021 keeping in view the mental health of students and faculties during the pandemic times. Ms Gilda Rose Kalathil, the speaker of the day, was a counseling psychologist and an international speaker from Penang. The key aspects that were dealt were of self-awareness, self-care techniques. The concept of ‘mind food’ was addressed; that is to be conscious about what you feed your minds with (the information), not letting everything affect you is the mantra and in case it is affecting us, we must address our minds instead of neglecting. Remaining in toxic positivity is not recommended. The speaker addressed diverse tools that we may use for daily self-care: self-checking/ introspection, being grateful, doing something creative, body movements in terms of dancing/exercising and healing hands. The session was interactive in nature and had important take-a ways.

 


Veerangana Series - 2021

A series of online expert lectures (webinars) were organized by NCC JDMC with eminent speakers from the field of armed forces. The coordinator of the series was CTO Debahuti Brahmachari. Several students and faculty members joined the session, following are the details of the sessions held-

Maj.Gen (Dr.) Bipin Bakshi , AVSM , VSM, (Retd) Deputy Director General ( IDSA) inaugurated our Annual NCC Festival, VEERANGANA'21 on 3 rd March 2021. He gave a motivational lecture on the topic, 'NCC- A Cradle of Leadership'.

Mr. Ravi Saharan (Ex IAF Cader , SSB Mentor , Corporate Trainer , Motivational Speaker) enlightened the cadets 'Leaders for Tomorrow' on 20th February 2021 virtually.

   


The first edition of Veerangana series was inaugurated with the opening online webinar by LT. CDR. BIJAY NAIR (Retd) on Sunday evening of 17th January, 2021. The theme was titled- "Role of women in nation building-special reference to armed forces." Lt .Cdr Bijay Nair (retd), 43, a passionate runner; is a commissioned Naval Officer from Naval Academy and served 10 year relinquishing as LtCdr, with many medals and accolades. He has been a part of Operation Talwaar during 1999 (famously known as Kargil war) and is decorated with Ops Vijay Star and Vijay Medal. The speaker enlightened the audience with his life changing experiences serving as an officer. life story and his golden words inspired our cadets and left imprints of his courageous life. Several oppurtunities for the youth was highlighted especially for women in the forces. More than 100 particpants engaged in this interactive session for more than 2 hours. The session was graced by Vice Principal Dr Sandhya Garg, Staff Advisors Dr Saumya Gupta, Ms. Tarini Pandey, Ms. Tannu Gupta and Ncc Incharge MS. Debahuti.

National Cadet Corps – NATIONAL AWARDS 2019

Awards –

JDMC National Cadet Corps was awarded the NCC ACHIEVERS AWARD 2019, in the national category of “All India Best Senior Wing College” by NCC Alumni Club of Delhi (15th July 2019).


NCC caretaker Ms Debahuti Brahmachari was awarded the VEERTA AWARD 2019, for her immense contribution to the progress of the nation through selfless service (under National Cadet Corps category) -20th September 2019).



INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY – (18th – 21st June 2020)

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June every year since 2015. Yoga is a means to interconnect the mind, body and soul.

2020 has been unpredictable due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The pandemic has shown us the importance of immunity building and healthy living which can be achieved through practicing Yoga. The theme for this year’s online celebration was “Yoga for health-Yoga at home".

NCC cadets of JDMC participated in large numbers with their families at homes. The event was celebrated 18th – 21st June with regular telecasts by DD National and DD Bharti channels that taught cadets about correct Asanas and relevance of Yoga.

TREE PLANTATION PAKHWADA - (13th July -26th July 2020)

Saving the environment is saving humanity. There can be no doubt about the usefulness of trees. The tree plantation pakhwada was initiated by 5DGBN amidst the pandemic keeping in mind all precautions and social distancing measures.

NCC cadets of JDMC widely contributed in this initiative by sowing plants saplings or plants in their home towns all across the country. To maintain the ecological balance this programme was organized with lots of sincerity and seriousness. Cadets participated enthusiastically and pledged to take care of the environment. This event continued for 15 days - (13th July -26th July 2020). The cadets made videos and posters to create awareness largely.

AATMNIRBHAR BHARAT ABHIYAN (1st to 15th August, 2020)

Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan is an initiative under the Aatmnirbhar Bharat Yojana released by the honorable PM.

Cadets promoted the abhyan through social media platforms from 1st to 15th August, 2020. Online national pledge was undertaken "Local Par Vocal ' by all. SELF RELIANCE is the ultimate mantra that was reiterated by the JDMC cadets as widely as possible.

FIT INDIA CAMPAIGN (20th August 2020)

Fit India Campaign, is a nation-wide movement in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit physical activities and sports in their daily lives. This is an initiative to create awareness among youth and masses about the importance of health; sports and physical fitness. This campaign is to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from our laxity, stress, anxiety, and diseases that can be avoided.

The JDMC NCC cadets participated in this campaign very devotedly. Physical activities like cycling, running; yoga; aerobics, exercises or healthy diet were carried out. This initiative also helped the cadets to create awareness about fitness and the ways how they can keep themselves fit.

A healthy body, healthy mind leads to a bright future and nation.




NATIONAL CADET CORPS – (JDMC ) Social Outreach during COVID crisis

COVID-19 that has been fired upon mankind and has to be fought collectively by each one of us. The world stands at a standstill as mankind is threatened with its existence. Cadets of National Cadet Corps JDMC expressed their gratitude towards the frontline workers saving the world, through the magic of creativity.Number of posters and videos providing information on COVID-19 and its precautions were made by the cadets. Families of these cadets also participated in supporting the cause. They have been shared largely on all social media platforms such as Facebook ,Instagram, Whatsapp etc.


As part of the pandemic rules , the use of mask is being promoted by the NCC cadets at all levels. JDMC first and second year students dedicatedly have been making masks at home. They have been distributing amongst the needy all across the city.


105 cadets from 5Delhi Girls Battalion have volunteered to provide their services to the nation during this hour of need under the Ex NCC Yogdan. Out of this 32 cadets from JDMC are acting as volunteers for supporting the civil administration in distributing relief materials , medicines , community assistance of all kinds , data management , making masks and distributing them to the needy etc.


JDMC NCC stands by the motto #Jaanhaitojahaanhai#Each one save one and urges everyone to follow social distancing and complete lockdown.



Water conservation rally

A massive rally with an aim to create awareness on water conservation was organised by the NCC cadets of Janki Devi Memorial college on 19th September . The rally saw the participation of more than 100 cadets , rallyists carried out the messages on the concepts of water conservation techniques and it's implementation at various levels.

The participants took a pledge to save water, plant tree saplings and take efforts to preserve rainwater in storage tanks and waterbodies in their respective villages and towns. Water conservation is the need of hour , cadets recited various slogans like - Hum sab ka ek hi sapna, Pani ko sambhal ke rakhna; Jal to sona hai, Ise kabhi nahi khona hai; Jal Jivan ka anmol ratan, Ise bachane ka karo jatan, Agar hogi jal ki barbadi, To nhi hogi koi aabadi; Jo pani ko bachayega, Samazdar kahlayega; Jal bachao, Jivan bachao; Sanchay jal, Behtar kal , etc to create awareness towards water conservation.

Water conservation rally flagged off at Janki Devi Memorial college , which further headed to Ghaffar market and Mahila Park in Karol Bagh. People have been urged to implement rainwater harvesting mechanisms in homes and commercial buildings to save prevent 'water run off' during rains.

Water is essential for human sustenance and there is need for saving water for future generations, cadets stressed. The rally with the slogan "Save water save human lives," was taken out to alert people on probable water scarcity in this summer and urge them not to waste water.

Also, it is essential for animals and birds ,we have taken this initiative as this would create a spark in peoples mind of saving water. The response of the passing by people were proper and tremendous.The cadets educated the locals about the importance of "water conservation" and also asked them to make their family members & neighbours aware of the cause. The cadets also asked the locals to make small changes like closing of water tap while brushing/shaving etc in their daily habits to conserve water.



DECODING NEW INDIA MODI 2.0: India's Foreign policy and National Security -

On 2nd of July 30 cadets of NCC cadets of our college participated in DECODING NEW INDIA MODI 2.0 organised by Nehru memorial Museum and Library, Ministry of Culture (GOI)and GLOBAL COUNTER TERRORISM COUNCIL.

A special tribute was given to the visionary Lt Manohar Panikkar in the first session.

Session 2- saw a diverse discussion on the core issues related to foreign policy and security issues moderated by Shri Bhupendra Chaubey (Advisor GCT , CNN NEWS 18)).

The final session 3- the focussed on energy and Water Security issues presided by Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhwat .
The final conversation ended with Dr Shashi Tharoor (Former Under Secretary General , United nations) convering with Ambassdor Anil Wadhwa (Retd) IFS



VEERANGANA ANNUAL NCC FESTIVAL 2019

The much awaited fifth annual festival VEERANAGANA 19 took place on 9th March 2019. The festival was inaugurated by one of the most eminent personalities Retd Major General PK Saighal. After the opening cultural performance, the camp achievers and special prize winners were felicitated by the chief guest , principal ma'am and commanding officer Col VikramArora.

The festival hosted several events from Quarter Guard, Squad drill, NCC run, tug of war ,cultural competitions etc. The festival saw a total strength of 500 cadets from all across Delhi /NCR, who participated with great enthusiasm.

The festival ended with the closing ceremony and prize distribution which was graced by our special guest of honour Captain Dharamveer Singh who boosted up the josh amongst the cadets.

EK BHARAT SHRESTH BHARAT , WEST BENGAL 2018

Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat National Integration camp was organised in West Bengal. 2 of our JDMC NCC cadets SGT Laxmi and CDT SANDHYA got selected. Delhi got 1st position in group dance competition in which these 2 cadets participated.

NATIONAL UNITY DAY 2018 JDMC NCC-

successfully celebrated National Unity Day on 31st October. In order to celebrate this prestigious day JDMC NCC organised March Past and Run for Unity in which a total 70 cadets participated.

EK BHARAT SHRESTH BHARAT , DELHI 2018–

Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat National Integration camp was organised in Delhi . 8 of our JDMC NCC cadets named JUO Arti , SGT Simrankaur , CDT Mamum , CDT Charulata , CDT Pooja , CDT Ishu , CDT khushbu , CDT Deepshika got selected. Delhi got 1st position in group singing competition in which CDT Charulata participated.



NCC – THAL SENA CAMP

CQMS Pinky Sharma and SGT Krishna from JDMC NCC got a chance to participate in North zone shooting coaching camp ( Punjab, 2nd July - 11th July 2018). They also participated in Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Championship ( Chandigarh, 7th August - 18th August 2018 ).

Both of them successfully participated in All India Thal Sainik Camp (Delhi , 17th September 2018 - 28th September 2018 ). Both of them got silver medal in Inter Directorate Shooting Competition at National Level in TSC 2018.

Achievements

JDMC got 1st position in Rangoli competition at kirori Mal college’s fest of NCC. 5 of our cadets:- JUO Vaishali , SGT Tannu ,JUO Aarti , Cdt Geetanjali & Sgt Simran Kaur participated in it.



JDMC got 1st position in Tug of War & Quarter Guard competition & also got 2nd position in Group Dance Competitio in Aditi Mahavidhalya college.



JDMC got 1st position in Tug of War at Sri Aurobindo College.

COMBINE ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP

A 10 days Combine Annual training camp for NCC cadets from various districts commenced at the Delhi Cantt at DGNCC parade ground.The camp was organised by 5 DGBN.

Training was imparted to the cadets on various subjects such as drill, weapon training, map reading, first aid, self defense, military history, physical fitness, field craft, battle craft etc. JDMC cadets took part in several competitions -

. JDMC squad was 1st runner up in the drill competition.

. SUO JDMC MANISHA UPPADHAYAY got special award for being company senior.

. TANNU KHATRI stood 1st in painting competition.



 

VEERANGNA 2017

JDMC organized its 3rd annual festival VEERANGNA on 12th April 2017. The occasion was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest Major General SagarikaPatyal. Students from all across the university participated in several events such as Drill competition, Quarter Guard competition, cultural group dance etc. Veerangna was organised to celebrate strength, womanhood, brilliance and togetherness.







NATIONAL CADET CORPS – REPORT 2016-17

JDM college runs the army wing of NCC. It aims to develop character, discipline, and, the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the nation and contribute to creation of organized, trained and motivated youth. It also aims to provide leadership skills to students in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the nation.

MsDEBAHUTI BRAHMACHARI teaching in the Department of Political Science is the newly appointed caretaker of the NCC of JDM College since 16th July'16.

15 students successfully attended the two training sessions of "Team Building & Group Dynamics" and “Etiquettes & Civic Sense" at Directorate Of Training in the month of June'16.

NCC cadetsenthusiastically participated in " SWACHCHHTA ABHIYAN ", "TREE PLANTATION", "STREET PLAY" to make people aware about the different problems of the country.

26 students successfully participated in the "DIGITALISATION CAMPAIGN"('Digital Financial Literacy Campaign' from '12 December 2016 to 12 January 2017' MHRD) organized by the to motivate and acknowledge people to move towards digital and cashless India.

Achievements

The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. It aims to Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.

The Motto "Unity and Discipline" of NCC was finalised in the 12th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

NCC Cadets took the NCC Pledge :
"WE THE CADET OF THE NATIONAL CADET CORPS, DO SOLOEMNLY PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL ALWAYS UPHOLD THE UNITY OF INDIA.
WE RESOLVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF OUR NATION.
WE SHALL UNDERTAKE POSITIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN THE SPIRIT OF SELFLESSNESS AND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW BEINGS."
Janki Devi Memorial College is the part of 5 Delhi Girls Battalion (5DGBn).It is the motivation n sheer guidance of the Principal Dr. Indu Anand that NCC continues to have a very active participation in and outside the college throughout the year, each year boosting confidence in its cadets.

In the college its co-ordinated by Ms Tara Negi, Astt.Prof.(Dep of Eng.) in the capacity of Caretaker for last more than5years and still continues to do so.

The enrollment procedure started on 18/09/2014 for the Academic year 2014-15 in (JDMC) and a total of 109 students were enrolled, 53 from the first year and 56 from the second year after they qualified the fitness test conducted by the PI staff of 5 Delhi Girls Battalion (5DGBn), Kirti Nagar Unit.
