Pratibha : Centre for Foundation Classes


First Session - July 2018

Janki Devi Memorial College (JDMC), University of Delhi, under Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) initiative has started Pratibha: Centre for foundation classes (competitive exams) on 1st July 2018 under the convenorship of Md. Zubeer Ahmed and Dr. Kush Kumar Gayasen. The foundation classes (2018) were meant for the undergraduate students of JDMC, students of Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) registered with JDMC as well as ex students. The foundation classes were held for the first time in the college and 55 students attended them.

The students who are aiming to clear the competitive exams conducted by UPSC, State Public Service Commissions, SSC and entrance exams of LLB, B.Ed. etc. opted for the foundation classes. The objective of these classes was to provide the basic knowledge about important topics from examination point of view, and orient the students to explore further on their own. The topics for lectures were selected keeping in mind the general studies component of various competitive exams. The course was divided into 50 modules of two hours each covering the broad areas of various subjects. The classes were taken by the successful candidates in the Civil Services exam as well as faculties from various departments of the college.

Second Session - 2018

The second session of Pratibha classes began in the month of September, whereby 102 students registered for the classes.

With the high success rate of the first session of classes, the classes have now been framed up for the entire academic year for all bonafide students and ex-students of University of Delhi.
