The WDC society was started under the aegis of our ex-principal Dr. Sharda Jain, under the Mahila Jagran Samiti in the year 1980-81. The Women’s Development Cell (WDC) under the ageis of Centre for Gender Equity Studies, Janki Devi Memorial College, University of Delhi, aims to empower female students, faculty, and staff by promoting gender equality, ensuring campus safety, and raising awareness about rights and various health issues. The WDC organises various seminars, skill-building workshops and internship opportunities for students.

The Women’s Development Cell of the college, through its various efforts, strives to create an equitable, supportive and respectful campus environment.
