National Cadet Corps (NCC)
National Cadet Corps (NCC) in India was formed with the enactment of National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, when a committee headed by Pandit H.N. Kunzru recommended a cadet organization to be established in schools and colleges at a national level.
Vision- It aims to develop leadership qualities such as character, courage, discipline, spirit of adventure and create a second line of defence.
Mission- NCC solemnly pledges to always uphold the unity of India, to take up a secular outlook and immerse into the selfless service of the nation.
JDMC NCC, under the guidance of Principal, Prof. Swati Pal and Caretaker Dr. Debahuti Brahmachari, has been rising to great heights in all directions. With national awards, successful camp achievers it has also been fulfilling its social extension goals as well. Social causes like blood donations, fitness campaigns, environment friendly campaigns as well as COVID volunteering activities during this pandemic have been regularly carried out. Such holistic training has helped many cadets to achieve in their career goals like defence forces, civil services, etc.
