Sarang The Indian Music Society

Sarang, The Indian Music Society was formed by the music department in the year 2012 with the objective of involving musically capable students of various disciplines and training them inexpressing their musical capabilities.

The Music faculty works tirelessly to hone and chisel the innate talent of the students by inspiring and training them to blossom into capable performers. The society has gone a long way in introducing the students to the nuances of our very rich cultural heritage.

The students of the Sarang society have participated in several college functions as well as in inter-college competitions and festivals winning numerous prizes and awards.

Harsimran Kaur (2013) and Nandini Sharma(2015) both Presidents of this society, were specially trained in SUFI MUSIC, and were given a life time opportunity to accompany their teacher Dr. Gurinder H. Singh to EGYPT, for providing back vocals at the International SAMA Festival under the aegis of Indian Council for cultural relations (ICCR) in September2015.
