Webinar on “What to do During the Covid Crisis to Accelerate your Career” on 19th May 2020
On 19th May, 2020 a Webinar on 'What to do during the Covid crisis to accelerate your career' was organised by the Career Opportunity Cell. The speaker, Mr. Saurabh Mittal (CEO and Founder of Passionately Curious) discussed ways to become more specific with goals, inculcate habits of learning and consistency and to remove self-doubt and procrastination. He focused on important topics such as understanding our behaviour during the Covid situation, keeping habits in sync with goals, how to have clarity about goals, developing a growth mindset, cracking entrance and college exams. The discussion was useful and satisfactory for the students as it helped them to cater to important questions regarding career goals. A question answer round was held and the queries of the students were addressed by the speaker. The webinar had a good footfall with the participation of over 177 students.

Webinar on 19th April, 2020 on “Gd-Pi Preparation, Linkedin Optimisation’
Amidst the Lockdown, in order to inspire students to be productive during the time, the Career Opportunity Cell conducted a webinar on 19th April, 2020. The webinar was conducted by Mr. Daksh Sethi over *WebEx*. The webinar was attended by 53 students and teachers. The session covered various topics such as—Importance of LinkedIn, how to make an impressive LinkedIn Profile, Understanding Body Language and how to improve it, How to prepare for Group Discussions & Personal Interview.Mr.Sethi also guided students on how to make the most of this Lock-Down period. The importance of online and offline networking was discussed. The workshop was completely free of cost and was open to students of all the departments across three years.
Event in Collaboration with MODICARE titled "SAPNO KI AZADI" on 28th February 2020
Event in Collaboration with MODICARE titled "SAPNO KI AZADI" on 28th February 2020 On 28th February, 2020, an event titled "SapnokiAzaadi" was conducted by Career Opportunity Cell in collaboration with Radio Mirchi and Modicare.The event presented speeches from young inspiring women that aimed to motivate our college students. RJs from Radio Mirchi interacted with the students and inspired them without making the event for once monotonous. It was followed by Modicare's inspirational session where success stories of some of their representatives were shared. Within the session, there were moments of merriment including a live band performance, DJ, Games and Gifts. Almost 200 participants were also given a complimentary gift.
Recruitment Drive by FIS Global on 24th February 2020
Pool Recruitment Drive was held by FIS GLOBAL in Janki Devi Memorial College for two profiles viz Google ads and Vodafone Chat profile. The Cell facilitated the company for its pool recruitment drive by providing the required support and infrastructure. The drive was open for students across the University. After the pre-placement talk, written test was followed by group discussion and personal interview. More than 80 students were present for the talk following the interview session. A total of 21 students were given LOI by the company, while 19 were selected for Vodafone Chat Profile, the other two were selected for the profile of Google Ads.
Career Alignment Test by UPES on 19th February, 2020
The cell in collaboration with UPES Dehradun conducted a Career Alignment Test for final year students on 19th February 2020. The test aimed at understanding the interest areas of the students with respect to career.
Recruitment Drive by ISA GLOBAL on 12th February 2020
ISA Global visited the college to recruit for the post of Sales and Marketing Executive. Three students have been selected after the selection process.
Seminar by St. Xaviers, Bangalore on 3rd February, 2020
On 3rd February, 2020 the cell organised a seminar on "Importance of Management Education in Nation Building" in collaboration with St Xaviers, Bangalore to discuss the necessity of management in the construction of a well-functioning nation and to enlighten students about the career options in management.
Seminar by Time Education on "CV Writing" on 24th January, 2020
A seminar was organized on "CV Writing" in collaboration with TIME EDUCATION on 24th January, 2020 to guide the students about how to make an effective CV.
Off-Campus Recruitment Drive by Concentrix
In Off-campus drive by Concentrix, 31 students from Janki Devi Memorial College got Letter of Intent for the profile of International and Domestic processes.
Seminar on "Career in Banking Industry" on 16th January 2020
On 16th January 2020, a seminar on "Career in Banking Industry" was conducted in collaboration with NIIT. The speaker of the session was MsShaswati Chaudhary. The session primarily dealt with the scope in the BFSI Industry and the skill sets required for the entry into the industry. Students were given an in-depth knowledge regarding insurance, financial and banking sector.
Seminar by NIIT on 13th November 2019
A skill development workshop was organized in collaboration with NIIT to provide the students with the knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Thirteen students are also pursuing the Advance Excel course from NIIT.
Profile Oriented Session by Pune Institute of Business Management on 18th October 2019
A session was organised in collaboration with Pune Institute of Business Management on 18th October 2019 to give an insight into various opportunities available in the field of Finance, marketing , HR and Information Technology.
Seminar by Time Education on 18th September 2019
A seminar on the topic "How to do well in Aptitude test for higher studies and campus recruitment" was conducted by TIME EDUCATION on 18th September 2019. The speaker, Mr. Ravi Manoram spoke eloquently on the pattern of aptitude test and better utilization of time in the college. The event was attended by approximately 103 students from various courses.
Workshop on Resume Building on 8th August 2019
On 8th August, Workshop on Resume Building was organized by Career opportunity Cell in collaboration with UpperCase. Two speakers from Uppercase graced the event, Yasmin Siddiqui and Joseph Reich. The workshop focused on Resume and CV along with an information on what should and what should not be included in CVs and resumes.
EY Recruitment Drive 29th -31st July 2019
EY GDS its campus recruitment drive from 29th July to 31st July 2019 for the profile of Assurance Associate. The session began with pre-placement talk followed by four rounds of selection – online test, HR round and two technical rounds. After all the rounds, 13 students were finally selected.
